I would recommend that you disable the 1394 connection, otherwise Windows might try to use it and that would just slow you down waiting for it to timeout. Unfortunately there is no guarantee that all of the MSAFD and RSVP LSPs are benevolent, so you may have to try the Winsock repair anyway.
