So, I rebooted by turning off my computer and turning back on because during the chkdsk process, my keyboard is disabled. The system isn't running at that point, no flashing lights, but I still gave it a few hours to work itself out. Disconnect ALL printers, scanners, speakers, hubs etc. I could use the onboard video for awhile and see if it crashes, and if it does I know it's not the card or slot.
I may first try to do it manually just in case. I have a new Seagate 2T Green Hard Drive, 2Gig of new Kingston DDR SDRAM, A new NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS video card and 2 new Lite On DVDR/CDR units. I have reinstalled AdAware, which, when it works, reports nothing - though this doesnt mean there isnt anything!I have also recently upgraded the RAM to a 1GB PNY stick.
