Most thoroughbred amd chips run much cooler then some intel - due to the wattage and power requirements of intel. I'm going to replace it shortly with a 3200+ XP Athlon, I'll probably buy an athlon heat shim. hell yes. That can be as simple as opening a nearby window or placing an oscillating fan in the vicinity. I'm running my pc with the side off my tower and I blow it out with an air compressor once a week.
