It's when i brought this disc home and popped it into my new puter, the problem began. The disk surface itself came off of the spindle and turned into a crinkled mess. This probably won't work...but you could give it a try just in case! Some solutions.
Now all those zip disks will be trashed. To verify that the lever is being actuated correctly, have a ZIP cartridge inserted in the drive - the cartridge should eject when pressing the lever. I sincerely hope you weren't relying on Zip disks for backup, either. Or is this something that only I am faced with?Any help or advice appreciated! Well, maybe the disk is bad... On mine it is a pinhole in the back just above the power connector. But I just wanted to let you know that what you've experienced is rather common to happen once or twice in the life of a Zip drive.
