It's when i brought this disc home and popped it into my new puter, the problem began. The disk surface itself came off of the spindle and turned into a crinkled mess. This probably won't work...but you could give it a try just in case! Some solutions.

To verify that the lever is being actuated correctly, have a ZIP cartridge inserted in the drive - the cartridge should eject when pressing the lever.
